Neil Bradley (author of EMU) and Mike Cuddy (KEM) joined forces with other talented emulator programmers to achieve a common goal: to create a multi-arcade-game emulator that allows to play the supported games even on non-high-end computers.
Retrocade offers a lot of things like backdrops in the emulated games (eg. Boot Hill, Space Invaders, Discs of Tron), a cool graphic user interface (GUI), game save states, game recording and overall the fastest emulation right now. The latest version supports 106 romsets, you can see them in the list of emulated videogames!
To get started you just need the core emulator to play the games, but to experience the full power of Retrocade you should download the additional .pak files, too, and unzip them into the /paks subdir of your Retrocade directory! Put the zipped rom-images in the /roms subdirectory and you are ready to go!
Please note that you need Dos4gw to run Retrocade!
If you have any problems or questions regarding Retrocade, read the supported text-files or the great Retrocade online manual!
