Of course there were much more single-game emulators released in the last months. Most of them are not not featured here, because one of the multi-game emulators "took over" and made those emulators obsolete...
But please don't forget, all those emulators provided important and valuable information for the development of new and existing emulators!

Featured here are those single-game emulators that are either approx. 100% perfect or that are unique (those that emulate a game not featured in one of the multi-game emulators).

 Missile Command

Download the latest version v1.0 [06. January 1997].

Do I really have to tell you about Missile Command? No? I thought so... :-)

Missile Command is one of the real classics and still a great game!

Tom programmed a really fast emulator which has minor bugs and unfortunately no sound!

 Nemesis

Nemesis

Programmed by:
Johan Kohler (Windows95 version) and
David Valdeita Loureiro (Dos version)

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version (Win95) v0.99 [24. March 1997]

Download the latest version (DOS) v1.0 [06. July 1997]

Konami released Nemesis in the year 1985 and surprised the world with this great horizontally scrolling shooter! During the following years Nemesis spawned a lot of sequels (e.g. Salamander, Parodius) and many clones were inspired by this game (e.g. R-Type).

Both emulators are quite good: the colors are accurate and sound is supported !! Choose the one that suits you.
Please note that the Windows95 version needs DirectX to run!

 New Zealand Story

New Zealand Story

Programmed by:
Richard Mitton

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v2.10b [29. June 2001] or get the source-code (from v2.21) [29. June 2001]!

Richards emulator emulates the game 'New Zealand Story' now 100%. There is sound and music support and the colors are accurate.

 Pengo

Pengo

Programmed by:
Sergio Munoz

Web site:
No Homepage

Download the latest version v1.0 [16. February 1997]

Pengo is one of the first Sega games I saw in the arcades.
The aim of Pengo is to squash the sno-bees and if possible to shove the three diamond block together in a row to complete a level.

The emulator is 100% perfect, runs even too fast on my P100...The features are high-score save, music and joystick support.

Rishgar / REM - The Rygar Emulators

Rygar

Programmed by:
Ishmair (Rishgar) and
Jean-Marc Leang (REM)

Web site:
No Homepage

Download the latest version (Rishgar) v0.92b [17. June 1997]

Download the latest version (REM) v0.9c

Both emulators emulate the classic game RYGAR (Tecmo, 1986)! The emulation is quite perfect, try it ! Rishgar is fast, has sound and accurate colors and of course saves highscores.

 Salamander

Salamander

Programmed by:
Johan Kohler

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest preview version [24. September 1997]

After the huge success of Nemesis, Konami spawned a sequel: Salamander. Again one of my all-time favorite arcade-games is going to be emulated!

Please keep in mind, that this release is just a preview. Although it is now playable, bugs are still present. You might need DirectX 5.0 to run!

Slutte! - the Bionic Commando emulator

Bionic Commando

Programmed by:
Steven Frew

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v5.0 ('Bligh') [31. March 1998]

Slutte! emulates the great game 'Bionic Commando' (Capcom, 1987). The emulation is not perfect but MAME emulates the game now too.

Here's the list of new features in v5.0:

  • Bligh version.
  • Scroll layer priority is now nigh-on perfect.
  • Game resolution is more accurate.
  • Added another screen mode (clipped 320x200).
  • Frameskip option implemented.
  • Palette intensity emulation altered a little. Still not perfect, though.
  • Fixed some graphics clipping bugs.

 Super PacMan

Super PacMan

Programmed by:
JROK

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v1.01 [02. August 1997]

Super PacMan is quite a different game than PacMan! There are locked maze-areas that open when PacMan eats the right keys and there are of course the green pills that make PacMan very big and fast...
At first I didn't like Super PacMan but after a few games and after getting used to the differences from PacMan, I the Super PacMan version became my favorite amoung all the PacMan games...

The emulation is 100% perfect with smooth gameplay and of course with support for music and joysticks!

 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Programmed by:
Jeff Slutter

Web site:

Download the latest version (Dos) v0.7 [05. May 1998]

For now, there is just the Dos binary for download, please get the Windows95 binaries from the authors homepage!

Here's what's new in v0.70:

  • Joystick support for DOS
  • Sprite vs Background Priority fixed
  • More video resolutions added
  • Made it faster
  • Sticky keys fixed
  • Sprite glitches all fixed
  • New config program

There is another emulator for TMNT called DTMNT!

Thunder - the Rolling Thunder emulator

Rolling Thunder

Programmed by:
Jimmy Hamm

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v.beta4 [06. October 1998]

Rolling Thunder has been and still is one of my all-time favorite games! Namco released this fantastic game in 1986 and it took this long to emulate it because of a lot of custom chips in the board.

Thunder isn't finished yet but runs good on my P100 when played at 30Hz (press F5 during gameplay), for 60Hz you need a faster machine. Sound and music is supported via samples but music stops playing after a while and starts again in the next level. Take a look at beta.txt (included in the zip) to see more known bugs.

Anyway, Thunder is a great program, you should try it at once to see and relive the fantastic Rolling Thunder!.

 Wingorf

WinGorf

Programmed by:
Mark Hazelwood

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v1.3 [17. June 2001]

WinGorf emulates the game Gorf complete with joystick, sound and overlay support. Sound is supported via samples!

Yie Ar Kung-Fu

Programmed by:
Janne Korpela

Web site:
Homepage

Download the latest version v0.48 [24. July 1997]

Yie-Ar-Kung-Fu is the father of all those Beat-Em-Up-Games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

This emu features accurate colors and smooth gameplay. Sound isn't supported yet.

 XS-EMU - the Xain'D Sleena Emulator

Xain'D Sleena

Bester

The gameplay is now much faster than in the preview version and the emulator features accurate colors, joystick support and sound!
